Next door at Betty Cottles Inn we have use of an play area for children, outdoor picnic areas, and there’s ample free parking. You can enjoy delicious fresh food and local ales at the onsite Betty Cottles Inn, which has two restaurants, a bar with pool tables, function rooms, and B&B accommodation.

Our Holiday Lodges

Our Lodges are perfect for families and larger groups, with a choice of two or three bedrooms that offer double and twin beds, plus open-plan living areas with sofas, feature fires, and TVs and floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen is separated by a low wall and has modern appliances including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas hob. As well as an ensuite double bedroom, there’s a separate bathroom with WC and a shower over bath. Bed linen, towels, electric and heating are included, and dogs are welcome for an additional fee.

Chestnut Lodge

Chestnut Lodge is a beautiful lodge with a private hot tub within easy reach of famous Dartmoor National Park. It’s a perfect base for a relaxed family holiday.

Chestnut Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for six guests and is accessed via a set of external stairs to the front door. Venture inside and through to the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers two sets of French doors which lead to outside and also let in a beautiful amount of light. Sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and watch your favourite programme on the TV/DVD or just enjoy an evening under the stars with the flame-effect electric fire glowing in the background. Keen cooks will enjoy the kitchen area which boasts a great range of appliances including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and also a washing machine. After a long day, head down the hall where you will find the three pretty bedrooms; the first being the double room with its own en-suite shower room with WC, dressing area and a TV. The second and third bedrooms each offer twin beds, one with 2’6″ single beds and then completing the offering inside the property is a lovely contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Venture outside onto the large decked terrace where you can fire up the charcoal BBQ during warm weather, or take a dip in the private sunken hot tub. Guests are also able to make use of the inn’s grounds, located next door, which includes a fun children’s play area. Private off-road parking for two cars is also provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Ash Lodge

Located in a tranquil setting, Ash Lodge is a two-bedroom, 4 person cabin in the beautiful countryside of Devon, making it a perfect retreat for walkers and cyclists.  It is conveniently located close to Dartmoor National Park, Ash lodge is a lovely retreat for families or couples alike whatever time of year.

This lovely lodge offers comfortable accommodation for four guests. A set of external stairs lead across the raised decked terrace to the property’s front door, which opens directly into the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The fabulous lounge area offers beautiful feature windows allowing you to sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and watch your favourite programme on the TV/DVD or just enjoy an evening under the stars with the flame-effect electric fire glowing in the background. Cook up a storm in the delightful kitchen area which offers an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The washer/dryer is housed in a separate utility cupboard which also provides handy storage space. After a long day, head down the hall where you will find the two bedrooms, the master bedroom is a double room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC and a TV, whilst the second bedroom is a homely twin room. The bathroom is also located here and consist of a shower-over-bath and WC.

Venture outside onto the decked terrace, which features the wonderfully relaxing and private sunken hot tub which has the added luxury of an inbuilt iPod dock and speakers. Guests will also find garden furniture set out on the terrace, which provides the perfect space for enjoying al fresco dining and drinks. Guests are also able to make use of the inn’s grounds, located next door, which includes a fun children’s play area. Additionally, there is also a sauna inside the inn which guests have access to (at an additional charge). There is off road parking for two cars.

Beech Lodge

Beech is a lovely 2 bedroom lodge in a small complex of similar properties conveniently close to Dartmoor National Park. It offers an array of creature comforts including a luxurious hot tub. Bring your four-legged friend to enjoy some stunning scenic walks.

This wonderful lodge is accessed via a small flight of external wooden steps and once inside you will find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This light and airy space is tastefully styled and boasts a Smart TV, comfortable sofas to kick back and relax, and a dining table seating four to enjoy a home-cooked meal. Large patio doors allow guests to extend this area in the warmer months, allowing the living space to spread out onto the decked terrace. The kitchen area is well-equipped with everything you will need during your stay and comprises an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine. Moving through the lodge will bring you to the two beautiful bedrooms, the first of which is a spacious double room with a smart TV, and an en-suite shower room with a WC. The next and final bedroom is a cosy twin room, and located next to this is a family bathroom featuring a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside is a lovely enclosed decked terrace that makes a brilliant place to relax and enjoy the sunshine with a drink at the end of the day. A table and chairs also make it possible for guests to enjoy al fresco meals, and this is where you will find the private hot tub, a welcome luxury after a day of exploring the local area. Private off-road parking for two cars is also provided.

Tor Lodge

Tor Lodge is a pretty 2 bedroom lodge nestled in a small complex of similar properties conveniently close to Dartmoor National Park, offers an array of creature comforts including a luxurious hot tub.

Elm Lodge

Located in a tranquil setting, Elm Lodge is a three-bedroom cabin situated in the grounds of a family run inn. An ideal base for families and couples to relax in tranquil surroundings after a day exploring the choice of nearby towns and Dartmoor National Park.

This charming lodge is perfect for exploring the area and it situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. As well as spectacular walking routes, further afield you can visit local attractions including Meldon Reservoir and viaduct, Lydford Gorge and the stunning Bluebell Woods. The town of Okehampton is a 10 minute drive away and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. The City of Exeter is 30 minutes away, a vibrant, modern city with a historical past.

You will pass the sunken hot tub as you enter the lodge. From this decked area you are met by a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can snuggle up on the cuddle chair and watch TV. The property is well-equipped if you decide to stay in and cook a meal with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer or you can visit the pub/restaurant located conveniently on site. The double bedroom can be found at the end of the corridor boasting ample storage facilities, with en-suite shower room and WC. The remaining two bedrooms are both twin rooms and there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Venturing outside from the two sets of double doors from the lounge you will find an enclosed decked area with garden furniture, perfect for outside dining and access to the sunken private hot tub which features soft lighting and iPod dock and speakers.

Elder Lake Pod

Step inside this stunning countryside pod and into the perfectly designed and comfortable studio-style lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area, which has been uniquely designed for these pods alone. The lounge area has a sofa and Smart TV to enjoy your favourite films, whilst guests can gaze across the lake to the front of the pod. This brilliantly designed space includes ample room to lounge and dine, the perfect spot to relax in style after a day exploring. Also included here is the perfectly appointed kitchen which boasts all the essentials for a relaxing, stress-free holiday. Here you can prepare fresh ingredients sourced from one of the many local farmers’ markets. In the sleeping area you will find a lovely king-size bed. Completing the pod is a perfectly appointed shower room with shower and WC.

Directly outside the living area you will find your own private hot tub on the built-in terrace, along with a super comfortable hanging lounge chair and outdoor dining set, perfect for some alfresco dining whilst gazing across the lake. If you don’t fancy cooking there is also a pub/restaurant to enjoy on-site.

Little Cedar Pod

Heading inside this uniquely designed pod you will soon feel at home with the relaxing style and variable mood lighting. The perfectly designed and comfortable studio-style lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area has been uniquely designed for these pods alone. The lounge area has a sofa and Smart TV to enjoy your favourite films, whilst guests can gaze across the lake to the front of the pod. This brilliantly designed space includes ample room to lounge and dine, the perfect spot to relax in style after a day exploring. Also included here is the perfectly appointed kitchen which boasts all the essentials for a relaxing, stress-free holiday. Here you can prepare fresh ingredients sourced from one of the many local farmers’ markets. The sleeping area within the main living area provides a lovely king-size bed, whilst there is also an accompanying bunk bed suitable for children. Completing the pod is a perfectly appointed shower room with shower and WC.

Stepping outside guests will find your own outdoor dining set, perfect for gazing across the lake with a spot of alfresco dining. If you don’t fancy cooking there is also a pub/restaurant to enjoy on-site. To the side of the pod you will find your own private hot tub with privacy screen.

Our wooden lodges are perfect for small families or groups, and there are a variety of activities you can enjoy in the area, such as walking, cycling, golf, horse riding and coarse fishing.

We have a range of facilities at Meldon Lodge Park that cater for children and adults.
